Industry consultation

Collective Fashion Justice works with brands, retailers and industry associations at all stages of their corporate responsibility journey, towards a total ethics fashion future.

Whether from the luxury or high street sector, big or small in scale, every brand can help to transform the fashion industry.

The path towards a total ethics fashion system which puts people, our fellow animals and the planet before profit is complex, and requires incremental changes that slowly yet radically progress the status quo.

Collective Fashion Justice will consult with any business or commercial organisation concerned with understanding and defining what total ethics fashion means in your space, and how you can get there.  We are proud to have engaged and consulted with both new and progressive as well as luxurious, heritage brands and associations around the world.

How we can help:

Our approach to corporate responsibility consultation is truly holistic, recognising the need for fashion to transform its treatment of and relationship with people, animals and the environments tied into fashion supply chains.

  • It’s important that not only your sustainability team understands the ethical and environmental decisions made by your brand – sales, marketing, customer service and other professionals should also understand the impact of different materials and operations, to best represent your brand.

Collective Fashion Justice offers workshops on specific materials (particularly animal-derived materials, and innovative alternatives to them), as well as on total ethics fashion, and how our view of sustainability must move from the binary to the collective, looking at how the planet, people and our fellow animals are treated in supply chains.

  • Collective Fashion Justice can help create, review, revise and write company animal protection policies, relating to materials.

Our consultation meets brands where they’re at, supporting progress which can reduce the suffering of animals, while encouraging truth-telling about the ultimate goals of a total ethics fashion system as relating to animals, and how your brand aims to work towards them.

Such policy consultation and writing also includes a communications aspect.

  • Collective Fashion Justice can offer an assessment and review of all the materials being used by your brand, in order to set targets for future material sourcing, and to support a transition to more responsible and innovative materials.

This work includes education relating to the impact of currently used materials, information regarding alternative material options, target setting and support with alternative sourcing.

  • We cannot work for responsible fashion production without working for clothes made by people paid fair, living wages.

Collective Fashion Justice can support in the creation of policy relating to fair, liveable wages, as well as with working to create a supply chain where people across all tiers of production are traceable, and thus able to be paid a living wage for their valuable work.

  • The future of fashion is circular, not linear. Our organisation can support your brand in making material choices which are more aligned with a circular fashion future, as well as with strategies to avoid needless waste at the end of a product’s life.

  • How we tell the story of total ethics fashion is just as important to the progression of our industry as the work to align our supply chains with these values.

Collective Fashion Justice is able to support brands, retailers and associations with their communication strategy, in order to avoid green-washing and ethics-washing, and to explain sourcing and supply chain decisions to citizen consumers and the wider industry – amplifying the impact of these decisions.
